LPDC Benefits

Full Time employees of the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office and Lincoln Parish Detention Center receive the following benefits:

• Group Insurance: the department pays 100% of the cost of comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance for the employee.  The employee can, at their own cost, add dependents to these plans.
• Life Insurance: the department provides Life Insurance with a face value of approximately 2.5 times the employee’s annual salary, depending on the employee’s age.  The department also provides $10,000 of life insurance for dependents listed on the medical plan.  This coverage is provided at no additional cost for the employee.
• Pension Plan: Full-time employees participate in the Louisiana Sheriffs’ Pension & Relief Plan, with the department paying both the employee and employer portions of the cost.  Employees are eligible to receive pension benefits under this program based upon age and years of service.
• Deferred Compensation Plan: The department offers a 457(B) Deferred Compensation Plan to all full-time employees.  Eligibility starts on the first day of employment, and the department begins matching a percentage of employee contributions upon completion of four (4) years of service.
• Paid Time Off: Vacation, Holiday and K-Time.
